Abstract
The present invention relates to quinazoline derivatives of formula I: wherein X, Y, Z, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are as defined herein. The invention also relates to a method of preparing these compounds, and use of these compounds for inhibiting tumor growth.

A quinazoline compound of formula (I):
- wherein
- X is H, methyl, or C1-4 alkyl;
- Y is
- wherein n is 1, 2, 3 or 4;
- and R5 is, independently, H, trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano, C1-4 alkyl, C2-4 alkoxyl, N—(C2-4) alkylamine, enzyme, hydroxyl, N,N-3N—(C1-4) alkylamine, C1-4 alkylthio, or C1-4 alkyl sulfonyl;
- Z is
- O, S, or NH;
- R1 is methyl or C1-4 alkyl;
- R2 is C1-5 alkyl-&, C2-6 alkenyl-R6, or C2-6 alkynyl-&;
- the alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl being optionally substituted with one or more groups selected from alkynyl, enzyme, and amido;
- and R6 being piperidin-4-yl optionally substituted with one or more groups selected from alkynyl, enzyme, and amido;
- and
- R3 and R4, independently, are H, methyl, C1-4 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 alkynyl, cycloalkyl or heterocycloalkyl
