Abstract
An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving a signal and a subcarrier allocation structure therefor in a multi-user multi-antenna communication system are provided, in which a transmitter calculates receive filters for each of a plurality of receivers or for a plurality of antennas in a receiver, determines the index of a vector having a correlation with the calculated receive filters in a preset codebook vector to be a receive filter index, and transmits the receive filter index to the receiver

A transmitter in a multi-user multi-antenna communication system, comprising:
- a receiver filter calculating unit for calculating receive filters for each of a plurality of receivers;
- a index determining unit for determining the index of a vector having a correlation with the calculated receive filters in a preset codebook vector to be a receive filter index;
- and
- an RF unit for transmitting the receive filter index to the each receiver.
A transmitter in a communication system having a receiver with a plurality of antennas, comprising:
- a receiver filter calculating unit for calculating receive filters for a plurality of antennas in a receiver;
- a index determining unit for determining the index of a vector having a correlation with the calculated receive filters in a preset codebook vector to be a receive filter index;
- and
- an RF unit for transmitting the receive filter index to the antennas of the receiver.
A receiver with a plurality of antennas in a communication system, comprising:
- an RF unit for receiving a receive filter index for the respective antennas from a transmitter;
- and
- a detecting unit for searching for a vector corresponding to the receive filter index in a preset codebook, and detecting received data using the vector as receive filters for the respective antennas.
A transmission method in a multi-user multi-antenna communication system, comprising:
- calculating receive filters for each of a plurality of receivers;
- determining the index of a vector having a correlation with the calculated receive filters in a preset codebook vector to be a receive filter index;
- and
- transmitting the receive filter index to the each receiver
A reception method with a plurality of antennas in a communication system, comprising:
- receiving a receive filter index for the respective antennas from a transmitter;
- and
- searching for a vector corresponding to the receive filter index in a preset codebook, and detecting received data using the vector as receive filters for the respective antennas.
