Abstract
The present invention provides a method for detecting autoantibodies in a subject which reacts with a GP73 antigen. Increased levels of GP73-specific autoantibodies in a sample from the subject which bind to GP73 antigen are indicative of liver disease in the subject.
Claims6
A method for detecting anti-GP73 antibodies in a subject comprising the steps of:
- a. preparing a GP73 protein antigen;
- b. reacting the antigen with a biological sample from the subject;
- and
- c. detecting the ant-GP73 antibodies in the sample.
1 more element
A panel assay to detect two or more biological markers for diagnosing a subject suspected of having a liver disease, comprising:
- a first assay for detecting the level of GP73-specific in the subject comprising
- a. preparing an antigen comprising a polypeptide having an epitope from GP73 protein;
- b. reacting the antigen with a biological sample from the subject;
- and
- c. detecting the antibodies in the sample that bind to the GP73 antigen;
- and
- a second assay for detecting the level of a second biological marker.
