Information Recording/Reproducing Device

An information recording/reproducing method, comprising steps of:

• a step for generating a title key;
• a step for performing encryption processing to a content according to said title key;
• a step for storing said content that has been encrypted;
• a step for storing navigation information that is information concerning reproduction of said content including said title key and a medium ID of an external medium;
• a step for performing encryption processing to said title key according to said medium ID;
• a step for outputting said title key that has been encrypted and a connecting method from outside, to said external medium;
• and
• when a request for said content is received from outside through said transmitting/receiving part, transmitting said encrypted content stored in said content storage part to said outside through said transmitting/receiving part when said medium ID of said navigation information accords with a medium ID received from said outside.

An information recording/reproducing program for executing functions of an information recording/reproducing apparatus which comprises:

• a title key generating part for generating a title key;
• a content encrypting part for performing encryption processing to said content according to said title key;
• a content storage part for storing said content that has been encrypted;
• a navigation information storage part for storing navigation information that is information concerning reproduction of said content including said title key;
• a title key encrypting part for performing encryption processing to said title key;
• an interface part for exchanging data with an external medium;
• a transmitting/receiving part for performing communication with outside;
• and a control part, wherein
• said control part stores a medium ID, that is inputted through said interface part, in said navigation information storage part,
• said control part outputs said title key contained in said navigation information obtained from said navigation information storage part and said medium ID to said title key encrypting part,
• said title key encrypting part performs encryption processing to said title key according to said medium ID and outputs it,
• said control part outputs said title key that has been encrypted and a connecting method from outside to said transmitting/receiving part to said external medium through said interface part, and
• when a request for said content is received from outside through said transmitting/receiving part, said encrypted content stored in said content storage part is transmitted to said outside through said transmitting/receiving part when said medium ID of said navigation information stored in said navigation information storage part accords with a medium ID received from said outside through said transmitting/receiving part.
