Abstract
In order to be able to provide magnetic angle sensors thin and slender, while still minimizing magnetic interference fields, the angle sensor, comprised of a longitudinally extending main circuit board and a sensor element, transversally disposed in front of the end of the main circuit board, is housed in a pin shaped sleeve type housing, in which at least the side walls are magnetically shielded in the portion of the sensor, and additionally also the backside and circumferential surface of the encoder magnet.
Claims56
A sensor unit (100), said unit comprising:
- an angle sensor (1), detecting around its longitudinal axis (10), having a magnetically sensitive face surface portion, operating according to the Hall-principle, or according to the magneto-restrictive principle, having a sensor element (4) proximal to its face surface (2a);
- at least one magnet unit (50), disposed, so that its magnetic field permeates the angle sensor (1), and field lines of an at least one encoder magnet (50a) of the magnet unit (50) extend in parallel to a sensitive plane (4′) of the sensor element (4);
- and
- wherein said sensor unit (100) has a magnetically conductive shielding (101) made of ferromagnetic material.
The sensor unit (100) according to one of the preceding claims wherein said shielding (101) having a sensor shielding (101a) disposed with respect to an inner contour rotation symmetrical to a longitudinal axis (10) of said angle sensor (1).
A pin-shaped angle sensor (1), detecting around its longitudinal axis (10), said sensor comprising:
- a magnetically sensitive face surface portion, operating according to the Hall-principle, or according to the magnetoresistive principle, having a sensor element (4) proximal to its face surface (2a);
- and
- a main circuit board (6) disposed in a direction of a longitudinal axis (10), and said sensor element (4) being mounted at a forward narrow side (6a, b) of the main circuit board (6), transversal to said main circuit board.
A pin-shaped angle sensor (1), detecting around its longitudinal axis (10), having a magnetically sensitive face surface portion, operating according to the Hall-principle or according to the magneto-restrictive principle, said sensor comprising
- a housing (3) covering at least longitudinal sides (11a, b);
- a sensor element (4) in a housing (3), proximal to the face surface (2a);
- a magnetically conductive sensor shielding (101a), shielding at least the longitudinal sides of the sensor element (4) and also its backside, wherein the sensor element (4) is disposed offset rearward in longitudinal direction (10) into an interior of the housing (3) from a front edge of the shielding (101a), of the housing (3).
A method for assembling a sensor element (4), said method comprising the following steps of:
- stuffing a main circuit board (6) with components for an electronic processing unit;
- connecting the sensor element (4) and a connector socket (5) to the main circuit board (6);
- closing a front face of a housing (3) on the sensor side;
- inducting a defined volume of encasement material into the housing (3), and
- after a functional test inserting a circuit board group into the housing (3) from a connector side until the connector socket (5) closes the housing (3).
A method for assembling a sensor element (4), said method comprising the following steps:
- stuffing a main circuit board (6) with components for an electronic processing unit;
- connecting the sensor element (4) and a connector socket (5) to the main circuit board (6);
- after a functional test inserting the circuit board group into a housing (3) from the connector side until the connector socket (5) closes the housing (3);
- filing the interior of the housing (3) with encasement material (26) from a face opening on the sensor side;
- and
- applying a front cover (27) subsequently, if necessary.
