Abstract
An organic EL display device includes a glass substrate and a flattening film arranged above the glass substrate. A plurality of anodes are arranged on a surface of the flattening film. A plurality of organic EL layers are arranged on a surface of the anodes. The flattening film has irregularities formed in at least a partial surface in a region outside a region where the plurality of organic EL layers are arranged. According to such a structure, an organic EL display device in which remaining of moisture in an insulating film is suppressed can be provided.
Claims20
An organic EL display device, comprising:
- a substrate;
- a flattening film arranged above said substrate;
- a plurality of first electrodes arranged on a surface of said flattening film;
- and
- a plurality of organic EL layers arranged on a surface of said first electrodes;
- said flattening film having first irregularities formed in at least a partial surface, in a region outside a region where said plurality of organic EL layers are arranged.
An organic EL display device, comprising:
- a substrate;
- a flattening film arranged above said substrate;
- a plurality of first electrodes arranged on a surface of said flattening film;
- a plurality of organic EL layers arranged on a surface of said first electrodes;
- and
- an isolation film arranged on said first electrodes and covering end portions of said first electrodes adjacent to each other,
- said isolation film having a slope portion with a gradually decreasing film thickness at an end portion, and
- said isolation film having second irregularities in a surface of a region except for said slope portion.
A method of manufacturing an organic EL display device, comprising the steps of:
- arranging a drive element on a surface of a substrate;
- forming a flattening film above said substrate;
- and
- performing heating after said step of forming a flattening film,
- said step of forming a flattening film including the steps of
- forming a plurality of connection holes for connection with said drive element, and
- forming first irregularities in at least a partial surface in a region outside a region where said plurality of connection holes are formed.
A method of manufacturing an organic EL display device, comprising the steps of:
- arranging a drive element on a surface of a substrate;
- forming a flattening film having a plurality of connection holes corresponding to said drive element, above said substrate;
- forming a plurality of first electrodes for respective ones of a plurality of said drive elements;
- forming an isolation film so as to cover end portions of said first electrodes adjacent to each other;
- and
- performing heating after said step of forming an isolation film,
- said step of forming an isolation film including the step of forming an opening for arranging an organic EL layer,
- said step of forming an opening including the step of forming a slope portion with a gradually decreasing thickness at an end portion of said isolation film, and
- said step of forming an isolation film including the step of forming second irregularities in a surface of said isolation film in a region except for said slope portion.
A method of manufacturing an organic EL display device, comprising the steps of:
- arranging a drive element on a surface of a substrate;
- forming an organic insulating film above said substrate;
- forming irregularities for increasing a surface area in a surface of said organic insulating film;
- and
- performing heating while the surface of said organic insulating film is exposed.
