Abstract
The disclosed embodiments relate to a system and method for mounting a light engine assembly. More specifically, there is provided a system comprising a housing structure including an upper portion and a lower portion, a mounting structure coupled to the housing structure, wherein the mounting structure is not affixed to the lower portion, and a light engine coupled to the mounting structure.

A system (10) comprising:
- a housing structure (11) including an upper portion (12) and a lower portion (14);
- a mounting structure (202) coupled to the housing structure (11), wherein the mounting structure (202) is not affixed to the lower portion (14);
- and
- a light engine (16) coupled to the mounting structure (202).

A method of manufacturing a display unit (10), the method comprising:
- attaching a mounting structure (202) to an upper portion (12) of a housing structure (11), wherein the mounting structure (202) is attached such that the mounting structure (202) does not make physical contact with a lower portion (14) of the housing structure (11);
- and
- attaching a light engine (16) to the mounting structure (202).
