Organic light emitting display and method of manufacturing the same

An organic light emitting display, comprising:

• a substrate having a display region and a non-display region;
• a buffer layer formed on the display region and the non-display region;
• a semiconductor layer formed on the buffer layer in the display region by an SGS crystallization process;
• an alignment mark formed on the buffer layer in the non-display region by the SGS crystallization process;
• a gate insulating layer formed on the semiconductor layer and the alignment mark;
• a gate electrode formed on the gate insulating layer that corresponds to the semiconductor layer;
• an interlayer insulating layer formed on the gate electrode;
• a source/drain electrode formed on the interlayer insulating layer and electrically coupled to the semiconductor layer;
• an insulating layer formed on the source/drain electrode;
• and
• an organic light emitting element formed on the insulating layer and electrically coupled to the source/drain electrode.

A method of manufacturing an organic light emitting display, comprising:

• providing a substrate having a display region and a non-display region;
• forming a buffer layer in the display region and the non-display region;
• depositing an amorphous silicon layer on the buffer layer to correspond to both of the display region and the non-display region;
• forming a capping layer on the amorphous silicon layer to correspond to both of the display region and the non-display region;
• positioning catalyst metal on the capping layer to correspond to both of the display region and the non-display region, and heating the catalyst metal, the capping layer, the amorphous silicon layer, the buffer layer and the substrate, so that the catalyst metal is diffused into the amorphous silicon layer to crystallize the amorphous silicon layer to form a semiconductor layer in the display region and to form an alignment mark in the non-display region;
• forming at least one transistor from the semiconductor layer in the display region;
• and
• forming an organic light emitting element electrically coupled to the transistor,
• wherein the semiconductor layer and the alignment mark are formed of a polycrystalline silicon.
