• a transmitting section that transmits, to a printer, a print request for the document data including the acquired identification information.

A method for providing notification, the method comprising:

• acquiring identification information which is acquired through a calculation from document data to be printed, the identification information identifying the document data;
• and
• providing notification when the acquired identification information matches pre-registered identification information.

A method for transmitting a print request, the method comprising:

• acquiring identification information through a calculation from document data to be printed, the identification information identifying the document data;

• transmitting a print request for the document data including the acquired identification information.
