Abstract
Methods for treating multiple sclerosis (MS) and clinically isolated syndromes suggestive of MS are provided. The methods comprise administering a therapeutically effective dose of interferon-beta (IFN-beta) to a subject in need thereof, where the dose is administered intramuscularly with a dosing frequency of two- to three-times per week.

A method for treating multiple sclerosis in a subject in need thereof, said method comprising administering to said subject a therapeutically effective dose of about 9 MIU to about 30 MIU of a human interferon-beta mutein (hIFN-βser17), wherein said therapeutically effective dose is administered two times per week or three times per week by intramuscular injection.
