Method for mounting a drive assembly on a door or window frame, comprising the steps of: mounting at least one actuating member and at least one transmission rod in at least one slot of the frame and mutually fastening said actuating member and said transmission rod by means of a screw that engages a through hole formed in the transmission rod. Said through hole is formed in the transmission rod after mounting said actuating member and said transmission rod in said slot.
