Abstract

Broadcast-receiving device has a broadcast-receiving section that receives a broadcast signal and generates an image signal on broadcast contents, an image-processing section that generates a menu signal for displaying a menu and generates an image display signal based on any one of the menu signal and the image signal, and a control section that controls operations of the broadcast-receiving section and the image-processing section. The control section chooses between an analog broadcast mode in which operations of the broadcast-receiving section and the image-processing section are controlled to be set in correspondence with the analog broadcast signal, and a digital broadcast mode in which operations of the broadcast-receiving section and the image-processing section are controlled to be set in correspondence with the digital broadcast signal. The control section controls the image-processing section to generate the menu signal corresponding to the chosen mode.
