Abstract
The subject invention relates generally to satisfaction metrics, their methods of administration, and computer programmable products loaded with the satisfaction metrics. The satisfaction metrics of the subject invention allow the participant to assess his or her satisfaction with general and specific attributes of any organization and to assign a relative value to the attribute relative to the other attributes. A weighted satisfaction score can be computed from the relative values and raw satisfaction scores of the general and specific attributes.
Claims24
A method reliant upon responses to a hierarchical-based metric for quantifying both degrees of satisfaction and values for attributes relating to an organization, wherein said method comprises:
- a) providing a data-gathering interface, and receiving a plurality of completed hierarchical-based metrics from at least one participant through the data-gathering interface;
- b) providing a data-gathering interface, receiving a plurality of completed hierarchical-based metrics from at least one participant through the data-gathering interface, storing the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics onto a computer-based medium, compiling the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics, and publishing the compiled plurality of hierarchical-based metrics;
- or
- c) providing a data-gathering interface, receiving a plurality of completed hierarchical-based metrics from at least one participant through the data-gathering interface, storing the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics onto a computer-based medium, compiling the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics, publishing the compiled plurality of hierarchical-based metrics, and retrieving the stored hierarchical-based metric results for comparison with hierarchical-based metrics previously received and stored;
- wherein each hierarchical-based metric comprises an attribute related to an organization, means for each participant to indicate satisfaction with said attribute, and means for each participant to assess value of importance with said attribute.
A satisfaction metric useful for assessing satisfaction with an organization comprising:
- a) a plurality of attributes related to an organization, wherein said attributes are organized into at least one hierarchy, each hierarchy comprising a parent attribute and a plurality of child attributes;
- and
- b) a means for assessing raw value of importance for each child attribute and each parent attribute;
- and
- c) a means for indicating degree of satisfaction with each child attribute;
- and
- d) a means for weighting the degree of satisfaction with the corresponding value for each child attribute;
- and
- e) a means for providing a degree of satisfaction for each parent attribute by compiling the weighted degrees of satisfaction for each child attribute;
- and
- f) optionally, a means for providing comments for each parent attribute and each child attribute.
A computer program product recorded on computer readable medium for conducting satisfaction surveys, the steps for conducting the survey comprising:
- a) administering a plurality of hierarchical-based metrics to at least one participant;
- and providing a data-gathering interface, wherein each participant completes one hierarchical-based metric;
- b) administering a plurality of hierarchical-based metrics to at least one participant;
- providing a data-gathering interface, wherein each participant completes one hierarchical-based metric;
- storing the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics onto a computer-based medium;
- compiling the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics;
- and publishing the compiled plurality of hierarchical-based metrics;
- or
- c) administering a plurality of hierarchical-based metrics to at least one participant;
- providing a data-gathering interface, wherein each participant completes one hierarchical-based metric;
- storing the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics onto a computer-based medium;
- compiling the completed plurality of hierarchical-based metrics;
- publishing the compiled plurality of hierarchical-based metrics;
- and retrieving the stored hierarchical-based metric results for comparison with hierarchical-based metrics previously administered and stored;
- wherein each hierarchical-based metric comprises an attribute related to an organization, means for each participant to indicate satisfaction with said attribute, and means for each participant to assess value of importance with said attribute.
