Abstract
The invention relates to a novel use of n-alkanols as activators of the CFTR (systic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) channel, and to the application of said use to treatments of pathologies in which a dysfunction of said channel can be observed, such as mucoviscidosis.

The use of C6-C10 linear, possibly branched, or cyclic hydrocarbon-chain n-alkanols, for preparing a medicinal product for use in the treatment of pathology related to CFTR chloride channel disorders in humans or animals.
