Abstract
A game in which game pieces in the form of acrobats are launched toward a target. The game pieces include magnets at the distal end of the extremities of the stylized acrobat game pieces.
Claims21
A game comprising:
- at least one playing piece having opposed extended extremities;
- a magnet mounted on the respective distal ends of the extremities;
- a lever having a first end adapted for supporting the at least one playing piece and operable to launch the at least one playing piece responsive to a force applied a second end of the lever;
- a metallic pad beneath the lever first end;
- and,
- a magnetic target adjacent to the lever.
A game according to claim one wherein the at least one playing piece comprises a plurality of playing pieces, and wherein the opposed extended extremities comprise extended legs and arms.
A game according to claim further comprising a support beneath the second lever end to limit the travel of the second lever end.
A lever mechanism for launching a playing piece comprising:
- a fulcrum;
- an elongate member having a central portion supported by the fulcrum, and having a first end and a second end;
- the first lever end having an angled upper surface;
- and,
- a metallic member disposed on an underlying surface beneath the first lever end.
A launcher for launching a playing piece comprising:
- a base;
- a lever pivotally mounted on the base, and having first and second ends;
- the lever first end having an angled upper surface;
- a magnetically susceptible member mounted on the base beneath the lever first end;
- and
- a support mounted positioned between the lever second end and the base and sized to limit the travel of the lever.
A method of playing a game comprising the steps of:
- providing at least one playing piece having opposed extended extremities;
- providing a magnet mounted on the respective distal ends of the extremities;
- providing a lever having a first end adapted for supporting the at least one playing piece and operable to launch the at least one playing piece responsive to a force applied a second end of the lever;
- providing a metallic pad beneath the lever first end;
- providing a magnetic target adjacent to the lever, the target displaying at least one scoring target area;
- placing the at least one playing piece on the first end of the lever;
- applying a force to the second end of the lever and launching the at least one playing piece toward the target.
