Abstract
A solution for managing a web site that includes dynamic protected data is provided. After receiving a request for a web page from a requesting system, the invention determines if the requesting system can be identified as a browser system. If not, then a public web page that does not include dynamic protected data is obtained. Otherwise, a redirect message that includes an alternative address for the web page can be provided, and a protected web page that includes the dynamic protected data can be obtained after authenticating a user.

A method of managing a web site that includes dynamic protected data, the method comprising:
- receiving a request for a web page from a requesting system;
- determining if the requesting system can be identified as a browser system;
- and
- obtaining a public web page when the requesting system is not identified as a browser system, wherein the public web page does not include dynamic protected data.
A system for managing a web site that includes dynamic protected data, the system comprising:
- a system for receiving a request for a web page from a requesting system;
- a system for determining if the requesting system can be identified as a browser system;
- and
- a system for obtaining a public web page when the requesting system is not identified as a browser system, wherein the public web page does not include dynamic protected data.
A program product stored on a computer-readable medium, which when executed, enables a computer infrastructure to manage a web site that includes dynamic protected data, the program product comprising computer program code for enabling the computer infrastructure to:
- receive a request for a web page from a requesting system;
- determine if the requesting system can be identified as a browser system;
- and
- obtain a public web page when the requesting system is not identified as a browser system, wherein the public web page does not include dynamic protected data.
A method of generating a system for managing a web site that includes dynamic protected data, the method comprising:
- providing a computer infrastructure operable to:
- receive a request for a web page from a requesting system;
- determine if the requesting system can be identified as a browser system;
- and
- obtain a public web page when the requesting system is not identified as a browser system, wherein the public web page does not include dynamic protected data.
