Process agents for process integration

A machine-readable medium containing instructions for execution by one or more processors that, when executed cause the one or more processors to perform:

• monitoring a first business object;
• notifying a first process agent of a change to the first business object;
• sending a message from the first process agent to an interface;
• determining a second change that may be made to a second business object;
• effecting the second change to the second business object;

An enterprise network, comprising:

• a plurality of business objects,
• each business object storing business logic relating to performance of a business transaction by the enterprise network and data representing instances of the business transaction, and
• a plurality of interface pairs,
• each interface pair representing a communication path between a respective pair of business objects and storing data representing data dependencies between the business objects, and
• each interface pair containing at least one process agent associated with at least one of the business objects.
