Abstract
A system and method for compensating for disruptions to update transmissions is disclosed. A first application component stores an instance of a business object. The first application component reconciles the instance with data stored on a second application component. The first application component receives a business object update from the second application component. The first application component checks a reconciliation value associated with the business object update. If the first reconciliation value indicates the first business object update was sent after the reconciliation, the first application component applies the business object update to the instance.
Claims20
In a computer system, a method comprising:
- storing a first instance of a business object with a first application component;
- reconciling the first instance with data stored on a second application component;
- receiving a first business object update from the second application component;
- checking a first reconciliation value associated with the first business object update;
- if the first reconciliation value indicates the first business object update was sent after reconciling, applying the first business object update to the first instance.
Computer readable medium storing a set of program instructions that, when executed by a client device, cause the client device to:
- storing a first instance of a business object with a first application component;
- reconciling the first instance with data stored on a second application component;
- receiving a first business object update from the second application component;
- checking a first reconciliation value associated with the first business object update;
- if the first reconciliation value indicates the first business object update was sent after reconciling, applying the first business object update to the first instance.
An application component comprising:
- a data storage medium to store a first instance of a business object;
- a first queue to receive a reconciliation message to reconcile the first instance with data stored on a second application component and to receive a first business object update from the second application component;
- a processor to check a first reconciliation value associated with the first business object update and, if the first reconciliation value indicates the first business object update was sent after reconciling, to apply the first business object update to the first instance.
