Ac-Sar-Gly-Val-D-allo-Ile-Thr-Nva-Ile-Arg-ProNHCH2CH3 Crystalline Form 1, ways to make it, compositions containing it and methods of treatment of diseases and inhibition of adverse physiological events using it are disclosed.

AcXGVI*TNIRPNHCH2CH3.CH3CO2H Crystalline Form 1 characterized, when measured at about 25° C. with Cu-Kα radiation, by a powder diffraction pattern with at least three peaks having respective 2θ values of about 2.6, 4.7, 5.2, 5.5, 7.2, 8.9, 11.6, 13.6 or 14.4.
