Transport stream dejittering

A system for use with a receiver configured to receive multiple encrypted input video data streams and to extract, from the input video data streams, multiple output video data streams for concurrent display, the system comprising:

• a multiplexor configured to multiplex data packets of the multiple input video data streams into a multiplexed data stream of video data packets, and to associate timing information with the multiplexed data stream from which input time spacing of the video data packets in the respective input data streams can be determined;
• a decryption module connected to the multiplexor being configured to decrypt the multiplexed data stream;
• and
• a demultiplexor connected to the decryption module and configured to demultiplex the multiplexed data stream such that the video data packets are grouped in respective output video data streams, the demultiplexor being further configured to use the timing information such that packets in the output video data streams have time spacings substantially equal to the input time spacing of corresponding data packets in corresponding input video data streams.
