Method and a system for purifying water from a basin, in particular a swimming pool

A method of purifying water from a basin, in particular a swimming pool, by circulating a water flow through a purification system by pumping, said method comprising the steps of:

• filtering a first flow of the water in a first filtration system by passing said first flow through a first membrane filter, and subsequently
• subjecting a second flow which comprises at least a portion of this membrane filtered water of said first flow to a photochemical treatment in a UV radiation system by irradiating said second flow with UV electromagnetic radiation before being returned to the basin, and where the photochemical treatment includes radiating the second flow with UV radiation at least partially having a wave length below 260 nm, and that the radiation intensity is at least 50 mJ/cm2.

A method of purifying water from a basin by circulating a water flow through a purification system by pumping, said method comprising the steps of:

• filtering a first flow of the water in first filtration system by passing said first water flow through a first membrane filter, and
• subjecting a second flow which comprises at least a partial flow of this membrane filtered water to a photochemical treatment in a UV radiation system by irradiating the second flow with UV electromagnetic radiation before it is returned to the basin, and
• whereby at least one filter in the filtration system is disinfected and/or regenerated by passing heated water through the filter.

A system for purifying water from a basin, in particular a swimming pool, by circulating a water flow through a purification system by pumping, said system comprising:

• first filtration system for filtering at least a sub-flow of the water by passing the sub-flow through a first membrane filter, and subsequently
• a UV radiation system for subjecting at least a partial flow of this membrane filtered water of the sub-flow to a photochemical treatment by irradiating the at least partial flow with UV electromagnetic radiation before it is returned to the basin, and wherein the UV irradiation system is operable to irradiate the at least partial flow with UV radiation at least partially having a wave length below 260 nm with a radiation intensity of at least 50 mJ/cm2.

A system for purifying water from a basin, in particular a swimming pool, by circulating a water flow through a filtration system by pumping, said system comprising:

• a filtration system for filtering water by passing at least a portion of it through at least a first membrane filter, and
• a UV radiation system subjecting at least a portion of the membrane filtered water to a photochemical treatment by irradiating it with UV electromagnetic radiation, wherein
• at least one of the at least one filter in the filtration system is disinfected and/or regenerated by passing heated water therethrough.
