Abstract
A method is described for relaying information from a first body of information defined by a source schema to a second body of information defined by a target schema. The method involves mapping content associated with one or more source schema fields from the first body of information to a third body of information defined by an intermediate schema. The method further involves executing one or more transformation functions that use the content and are identified by the intermediate schema. The method further involves mapping one or more results of the executing from the third body of information to the second body of information
Claims39
A method for relaying information from a first body of information defined by a source schema to a second body of information defined by a target schema, the method comprising:
- mapping content associated with at least one source schema field from said first body of information to a third body of information defined by an intermediate schema;
- executing at least one transformation function that uses said content and is identified by said intermediate schema;
- and
- mapping at least one result of said executing from said third body of information to said second body of information.
A method for relaying information from a first body of information defined by an XML source schema to a second body of information defined by an XML target schema, the method comprising:
- mapping content of at least one field associated with said XML source schema from said first body of information to a third body of information defined by an XML intermediate schema, said mapping defined in XSLT;
- executing at least one transformation function that uses said content and is identified by said XML intermediate schema;
- and
- mapping at least one result of said executing to said second body of information, said mapping at least one result defined in XSLT.
A method, comprising:
- marking those fields of a first schema having input values for at least one transformation to be applied;
- creating a second schema, said second schema defining a structure that is duplicative of at least a portion of said first schema, said second schema including at least one function call to implement said at least one transformation;
- mapping said input values from said first schema to said second schema;
- and
- executing said at least one function to implement said at least one transformation.
Tangible machine readable media having instructions which when executed by at least one processor causes said at least one processor to perform a method for relaying information from a first body of information defined by a source schema to a second body of information defined by a target schema, said method comprising:
- mapping content associated with at least one source schema field from said first body to a third body of information defined by an intermediate schema;
- executing at least one transformation function that uses said content and is identified by said intermediate schema;
- and
- mapping at least one result of said executing from said third body to said second body.
Tangible machine readable media having instructions which when executed by at least one processor causes said at least one processor to perform a method for relaying information from a first body of information defined by an XML source schema to a second body of information defined by an XML target schema, said method comprising:
- mapping content of at least one field associated with said XML source schema from said first body of information to a third body of information defined by an XML intermediate schema, said mapping defined in XSLT;
- executing at least one transformation function that uses said content and is identified by said XML intermediate schema;
- and
- mapping at least one result of said executing to said second body of information, said mapping at least one result defined in XSLT.
