Abstract
One or more of the programmable RF receivers or other devices in the network may be programmed to determine whether one or more defining characteristics associated with a particular RF transmitter or transmitter type are present in RF data. The one or more defining characteristics are used to detect the use of an RF transmitter or transmitter type.
Claims21
A programmable RF receiver for use in a network comprised of RF receivers, comprising:
- a network controller operable to be programmed with a program received over the network;
- and
- a signal processor operable to determine whether one or more defining characteristics associated with an RF transmitter or transmitter type is present in received RF data using the program.
A network, comprising:
- a central processing device;
- and
- a plurality of programmable RF receivers each connected to the central processing device, wherein each programmable RF receiver includes an antenna operable to receive RF data and a processor operable to determine whether one or more defining characteristics associated with an RF transmitter or transmitter type is present in RF data.
The network of claim 9, wherein processor the signal processor determines whether the one or more defining characteristics are present in the RF data using an extraction algorithm.
A method for detecting an RF transmitter or transmitter type using a network of RF receivers, comprising:
- receiving RF data at one or more RF receivers in the network;
- and
- determining whether one or more defining characteristics are present in the received RF data.
