Abstract
The present application relates to a method for detecting leptin receptor ligands by measuring the energy transfer between fusion proteins composed of leptin receptors and of energy donor and acceptor proteins. It also relates to fusion proteins for implementing this method.

A fusion protein, which is composed of a leptin receptor having a short intracellular domain or of a soluble form of such a receptor containing the leptin-binding site, or of a substantial portion of such a leptin receptor;
- and of an energy donor or energy acceptor protein, or of a substantial and active portion of an energy donor or energy acceptor protein.
