A separator for a rechargeable lithium battery, comprising:
- a separating substrate;
- and
- an antistatic agent coated on the separating substrate.
A rechargeable lithium battery, comprising:
- a positive electrode including a positive active material;
- a negative electrode including a negative active material;
- a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes, the separator coated with an antistatic agent;
- and
- a non-aqueous electrolyte.

A method of manufacturing a rechargeable lithium battery, comprised of:
- preparing a positive electrode including a positive active material, a negative electrode including a negative active material, a separating substrate, and a non-aqueous electrolyte;
- preparing a separator by coating the separating substrate with an antistatic agent;
- interposing the separator between the positive and negative electrodes;
- and
- providing the non-aqueous electrolyte to manufacture the rechargeable lithium battery.
