Abstract
Included are gum compositions which include free, unencapsulated neotame. These compositions provide sweetness without the need for a modifying agent to increase release of the neotame from the gum.
Claims20
A composition comprising:
- (a) a gum base;
- and
- (b) a sweetener composition comprising free, unencapsulated neotame.
A method of providing a long lasting sweetening sensation comprising providing a composition comprising a gum base and free, unencapsulated neotame.
A method of providing a gum composition having a stable neotame release comprising preparing a composition comprising a gum base and free, unencapsulated neotame.
A composition comprising:
- gum base, bulking agent, plasticizer, flavor, and a sweetener composition comprising free neotame and optionally a free or encapsulated high intensity sweetener other than neotame.
