Herbal composition for treatment of neurodegeneration and neuronal dysfunction

A method of treating neuronal injuries or neurodegenerative diseases, comprising the step of administering to a patient in need thereof a compositing comprising:

• Radix angelica sinensis (DangGui) 0.82-3.3 g/kg body weight;
• Ligusticum chuanxiong (ChuanXiong) 0.1-1.2 g/kg body weight;
• Hirudo (ShuiZhi) 0.1-0.4 g/kg body weight;
• and
• Polygonatum sibiricum (HuangJing) 0.2-0.8 g/kg body weight,
• wherein the g/kg body weight dosages can be increased up to 2.5 times if the body weight of the patient is less than 40 kg.
