Abstract
The present invention relates to novel compositions containing the NK3 receptor antagonist talnetant which compositions have enhanced bioavailability. In addition, the invention relates to processes for the preparation and to uses of the compositions in therapy.
Claims32
A process for the preparation of a spray-dried composition, the composition comprising i) talnetant particles having a DV90 in the range from 0.1 to 2.0 μm, ii) one or more ionic surfactant and iii) one or more soluble carrier, the process comprising a) wet milling a dispersion of the solid talnetant particles until the DV90 is in the range from 0.1 to 2.0 μm, which dispersion comprises the one or more ionic surfactant and the one or more soluble carrier, then b) spray drying or spray granulating the resulting dispersion.
A spray dried pharmaceutical composition comprising i) talnetant particles having a DV90 in the range from 0.1 to 2.0 μm, ii) one or more ionic surfactant and iii) one or more soluble carrier.
