Automated activity detection using supervised learning

A system comprising:

• a module to provide one or more sequences of learning video data that include a first action;
• a module to extract one or more features of said first action from said one or more sequences of learning video data;
• a module to enable a reception of a sequence of operational video data;
• a module to enable an extraction of said one or more features of said first action from said sequence of operational video data;
• and
• a module to enable a comparison between said extracted one or more features of said first action from said one or more sequences of learning video data and said one or more features of said first action from said sequence of operational video data.

A machine-readable medium having instructions including a method comprising:

• providing one or more sequences of learning video data that include a first action;
• extracting one or more features of said first action from said one or more sequences of learning video data;
• enabling a reception of a sequence of operational video data;
• enabling an extraction of said one or more features of said first action from said sequence of operational video data;
• and
• enabling a comparison between said extracted one or more features of said first action from said one or more sequences of learning video data and said one or more features of said first action from said sequence of operational video data.
