Abstract
Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device, comprising: a) a substrate; b) a hole-injecting electrode (anode) coated over the substrate; c) a hole injection layer coated over the anode; e) a composite light emitting layer comprising two or more light emissive materials, coated over the hole transporting layer; and f) an electron-injecting electrode (cathode) deposited over the composite light emissive layer, the electrodes commonly and singularly addressing the composite light emissive layer.
Claims18
An organic electroluminescent device comprising:
- a substrate;
- a hole-injecting electrode disposed over the substrate;
- an anode buffer layer coated over the hole-injecting electrode;
- a composite light emissive layer, coated over the hole transporting layer, said composite layer comprising a first light emissive material patterned by at least one additional light emissive material emitting in a different spectrum than said first light emissive material;
- and
- an electron-injecting electrode disposed over said composite light emissive layer, further wherein said electron injecting electrode and said hole injecting electrode are common to and address the entirety of said composite light emissive layer.
