Abstract
A connector-and-tube assembly includes a tube composed of a material having elasticity; at least one cylindrical member whose opposite ends communicate with each other and which is composed of a material having a higher coefficient of elasticity than that of the tube; and a connector having a communication hole through which the tube communicates with the outside, the connector being integrated with an end of the tube. The at least one cylindrical member is fitted within the tube at least at the end of the tube.
Claims16
A connector-and-tube assembly comprising:
- a tube composed of a material having elasticity;
- at least one cylindrical member whose opposite ends communicate with each other and which is composed of a material having a higher coefficient of elasticity than that of the tube;
- and
- a connector having a communication hole through which the tube communicates with the outside, the connector being integrated with an end of the tube,
- wherein the at least one cylindrical member is fitted within the tube at least at the end of the tube.
A method for forming a connector on an end of a tube composed of a material having elasticity, the connector having a communication hole through which the tube communicates with the outside, the method comprising:
- inserting a cylindrical member into the tube so that the cylindrical member is engaged with at least an end of the tube, the cylindrical member having opposite ends that communicate with each other and being composed of a material having a higher coefficient of elasticity than that of the tube;
- and
- encompassing the end of the tube engaged to the cylindrical member with a mold and forming the connector by molding.
