Abstract
A seal is formed of a material including about 80.0% to about 95.0% by weight fluoropolymer, about 1.0% to about 10.0% by weight aromatic polymer, and graphite fiber.

A seal formed of a material comprising about 80.0% to about 95.0% by weight fluoropolymer, about 1.0% to about 10.0% by weight aromatic polymer, and graphite fiber.
A pump comprising:
- a rod;
- and
- a seal including a surface in contact with the rod, the seal formed of a material comprising about 80.0% to about 95.0% by weight fluoropolymer, about 1.0% to about 10.0% by weight aromatic polymer, and graphite fiber.

A composite material comprising at least about 80.0 wt % modified polytetrafluoroethylene, not greater than about 10.0 wt % aromatic polymer, and at least about 1.0 wt % graphite fiber, the modified polytetrafluoroethylene comprising perfluoropropyl vinyl ether in an amount not greater than about 5.0 wt %.
