Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system and method for providing content over a television network. The method includes receiving an input that corresponds to a master account, associating the master account with at least one additional account that relates to the provision of content from a content provider and delivering the content over the television network.
Claims23
A computer readable medium accessible to a processor for executing instructions contained in a computer program embedded in the computer readable medium, the computer program comprising:
- an instruction to receive an input relating to a master account for provision of a television service;
- an instruction to associate the master account with at least one additional account that relates to provision of content from a content provider;
- and
- an instruction to provide the television service and the content from the content provider over a television network.
A method for providing a television service, comprising:
- storing a master account;
- storing at least one additional account that corresponds to provision of content by a content provider;
- associating the master account with the at least one additional account;
- and
- providing the television service and the content from the content provider over a television network.
A method for delivering content over a television network, comprising:
- receiving an input corresponding to a master account;
- associating the master account with at least one additional account that relates to provision of content from a content provider;
- and
- providing the content to a customer device over the television network.
A system for use in providing content over a television network, the system comprising:
- a database that stores a master account and at least one additional account relating to provision of content from a content provider;
- a server having access to a computer program, the server utilizing the computer program to associate the master account with the at least one additional account in response to an input received over the television network to provide content from the content provider over the television network.
A network for providing content, comprising:
- a backbone network that provides a first content to a customer device over a communication link;
- a server associated with the backbone network that has access to a data base storing a master account relating to the first content and at least one additional account relating to provision of a second content from a content provider;
- and
- a computer program having instructions that are executed by the server to associate the master account with the at least one additional account in response to an input received from a customer device over the network and provide the first and second contents over the network.
