Object-based information collection in operation performance

A computer program product tangibly embodied in an information carrier, the computer program product including instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, in a computer system, a request object corresponding to a request to initiate a physical operation;
• generating, using the request object, an information collection object configured to represent performance of the physical operation;
• and
• obtaining data generated in the performance of the physical operation and recording the data in the information collection object.

A computer system comprising:

• a request management module configured to generate a request object upon receiving a request to initiate a physical operation;
• an information collection module configured to generate an information collection object using the request object, the information collection object being configured to represent performance of the physical operation;
• and
• an initiation module configured to initiate the performance of the physical operation using the information collection object, wherein the information collection module records in the information collection object data generated in the performance of the physical operation.
