Method and device for subaqueous ultrasonic irradiation of living tissue

An ultrasonic treatment method comprising:

• feeding water to a tank;
• dissolving air in said water;
• disposing at least a portion of a living organism in the aerated water;
• thereafter ultrasonically generating stable vibrating bubbles in said aerated water, the generating of said stable vibrating bubbles including energizing a transducer with periods of first full-wave compression and rarefaction cycles alternating with periods of first rectified-wave compression pressure cycles sufficient to suppress inertial or transient cavitation for a predetermined interval, said full-wave compression and rarefaction cycles having a first amplitude or intensity and a first pulse repetition period;
• and
• subsequently energizing said transducer with periods of second full-wave compression and rarefaction cycles alternating with periods of second rectified-wave compression pressure cycles, said second full-wave compression and rarefaction cycles having a second amplitude or intensity greater or less than said first amplitude or intensity and a second pulse repetition period respectively less or greater than said first pulse repetition period and said second rectified-wave compression pressure cycles having said second amplitude or intensity and said second pulse repetition period so that said second full-wave compression and rarefaction cycles alternating with periods of said second rectified-wave compression pressure cycles are sufficient to suppress inertial or transient cavitation for a predetermined interval.

An ultrasonic treatment method comprising:

• disposing at least a portion of a living organism in aerated water;
• thereafter ultrasonically generating stable vibrating bubbles in said aerated water for a first predetermined interval, the generating of said stable vibrating bubbles including energizing a transducer with a first alternating electrical signal to suppress inertial or transient cavitation for said first predetermined interval, said first alternating electrical signal having a first amplitude and a first pulse repetition period;
• and
• thereafter ultrasonically generating stable vibrating bubbles in said aerated water for a second predetermined interval, the generating of said stable vibrating bubbles during said second predetermined interval including energizing said transducer with a second alternating electrical signal to suppress inertial or transient cavitation for said second predetermined interval, said second alternating electrical signal having a second amplitude and a second pulse repetition period, said second pulse repetition period differing from said first pulse repetition period in inverse relationship to a variation of said second amplitude relative to said first amplitude.
