• wherein Y=Au or Rh,
• and wherein the indices a, c and d indicate the mass ratios of the respective elements and 0.1≦a≦3, 0.1≦c≦3 and 0≦d≦1,
• on silicon carbide or steatite as carrier.

A catalytically active composition comprising an active component having the formula

• PdaRhbBicZe,
• wherein Z=Ag or Pt,
• and wherein the indices a, b, c and e indicate the mass ratios of the respective elements and 0.1≦a≦3, 0≦b≦, 0.1≦c≦3 and 0≦e≦1,
• on silicon carbide or steatite as carrier.

A catalytically active composition comprising an active component having a formula selected from the group consisting of:

• Pd0.5-1.0Rh1.0-1.75Bi0.5-1.25Ag0.03-0.15Ca0.02-0.1
