Abstract
An apparatus capable of receiving oil and gas from a recovery or other input source, compressing and/or pumping said oil and gas using multi-phase compressors with heat exchange means, and delivering said compressed gas to various destinations, including for use in oil and gas recovery.
Claims16
A multi-stage apparatus capable of compressing and/or pumping multiple liquid and gaseous phases with entrained phases comprising:
- a source of input gas,
- a series of at least two successive compressing means housed in a single unit such that each of said compressing means is capable of compressing gas to a successively higher pressure,
- means for activating and deactivating each of said compressing means,
- a multi-directional control means for controlling said activation and deactivation,
- an inlet means for transferring said input gas into said apparatus and charging said compressing means with said input gas,
- gas transfer means between each pair of said successive compressing means for transferring gas between them,
- compression control means for limiting compression in each of said compressing means,
- a destination for gas compressed by said apparatus,
- an outlet means for releasing said compressed gas from said apparatus and transferring it to said destination,
- heat-exchange means for cooling each compressing means, and
- a power supply.
