Abstract
Methods and apparatuses to block calls from reaching destinations. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving a call for a connection to an entity via a reference; based on the reference used for the call, determining a reference of the entity; determining whether the call is to be blocked; and responsive to a determination that the call is not to be blocked, establishing the connection to the entity using the reference of the entity.
Claims22
A method, comprising:
- receiving a call for a connection to an entity via a reference;
- based on the reference used for the call, determining a reference of the entity;
- determining whether the call is to be blocked;
- and
- responsive to a determination that the call is not to be blocked, establishing the connection to the entity using the reference of the entity.
A machine readable medium containing instructions which when executed on a data processing system cause the system to perform a method, comprising:
- receiving a call for a connection to an entity via a reference;
- based on the reference used for the call, determining a reference of the entity;
- determining whether the call is to be blocked;
- and
- responsive to a determination that the call is not to be blocked, establishing the connection to the entity using the reference of the entity.
A data processing system, comprising:
- means for receiving a call for a connection to an entity via a reference;
- means for, based on the reference used for the call, determining a reference of the entity;
- means for determining whether the call is to be blocked;
- and
- means for, responsive to a determination that the call is not to be blocked, establishing the connection to the entity using the reference of the entity.
