A pixel position acquiring method that captures a display image displayed on a screen by an image-capturing device, and acquires, on the basis of image-capturing data, correspondence between a pixel position of an image generating device to be projected on the screen and a position where the pixel position is mapped on the image-capturing data, the pixel position acquiring method comprising:
- causing a first line image having a plurality of straight lines extending along a vertical direction of the image generating device to be displayed on the screen;
- capturing a display image based on the first line image by the image-capturing device and acquiring first image-capturing data;
- causing a second line image having a plurality of straight lines extending along a horizontal direction of the image generating device to be displayed on the screen;
- capturing a display image based on the second line image by the image-capturing device and acquiring second image-capturing data;
- cutting a plurality of image-capturing lines mapped on the first image-capturing data per a region including each image-capturing line;
- setting an approximate function expressing each image-capturing line in the first image-capturing data on the basis of the region of each cut image-capturing line;
- cutting a plurality of image-capturing lines mapped on the second image-capturing data per a region including each image-capturing line;
- setting an approximate function expressing each image-capturing line in the second image-capturing data on the basis of the region of each cut image-capturing line;
- and
- finding, on the basis of the approximate functions set by the first image-capturing data and the second image-capturing data, an association between the pixel position of the image generating device and the position where the pixel position is mapped on the image-capturing data.
