Abstract
In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for obtaining magnetic resonance (MR) data of a phantom located in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system with multiple bandwidths. The data may then be processed to determine magnetic field homogeneity of the MRI system.
Claims23
A phantom comprising:
- a spherical structure having a hollow interior;
- and
- a plurality of plates disposed within the hollow interior, at least three of the plates being substantially perpendicularly aligned, wherein each of the plurality of plates includes positional markers.
A method comprising:
- obtaining first magnetic resonance (MR) data of a phantom located in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system at a first bandwidth;
- obtaining second MR data of the phantom located in the MRI system at a second bandwidth;
- obtaining the first MR data and the second MR data with phase-encoding and frequency-encoding directions switched;
- and
- processing the first MR data and the second MR data to determine magnetic field homogeneity (MFH) of the MRI system.
2 more elements
A system comprising:
- a processor to execute instructions;
- and
- a memory coupled to the processor, the memory including instructions to determine magnetic field homogeneity (MFH) of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system at multiple diameter spherical volumes (DSVs) from a single set of MR images.
