Abstract
The present invention relates to a brake device for webbing or belt cartridges built as a flexible one piece body (1), preferably made of a material like rubber, doted with a characteristic design. Said single flexible body comprises an ellipsoidal central portion (2), having in its center two symmetrical openings (3) for coupling to a reel, and two radially spaced rods (4), said rods having a rounded shape finishing, conforming two brackets (5) in circumference arcs.
Claims6
A brake device of webbing or belt cartridges of line organization poles, wherein the fact of being conformed by one sole piece, built in a single body, preferably made of a material slightly flexible like rubber, having an ellipsoidal central portion, in which center it is provided with two symmetrical openings for coupling and having two rods, said rods having a rounded shape finishing, conforming two brackets into circumference arcs in their ends, as well as between the two rods and the central portion there are configured two openings, which determine a displacement area of said rods, in a way that the said single body piece, is coupled along with a headstock, provided at the bottom portion of the reel (C) at the referred openings, being that the two brackets are positioned alongside with the internal walls of the reel (C) base, in a way that when the webbing or belt is unwound, there is no incidence of work of the brake, since the single body piece does not create a large contact area, reducing the attrition force between the single body piece and the internal wall of the reel (C) base, since the elastic deformation of the single body piece contracts the rods and consequently the brackets, minimizing the attrition force between the parties and when the webbing or belt is withdrawn, the reel (C) presents the reverse movement of the single body piece that gets elastically deformed, displacing the rods and consequently the brackets, making them go under an attrition force against the internal wall of the reel (C) base, increasing the contact area between the pieces and occasioning a significant speed drop in the webbing or belt displacement;
- for the webbing or belt to have the retraction desired speed, it is provided the use of a lubricant element between the single body piece and the internal wall of the reel (C) base.
In a system of poles and webs provided on spools in cartridges mounted in the poles, the webs being biased toward coiled positions on the spools and the cartridges rotatably supporting the spools so that the webs can be withdrawn through slots in the poles, the improvement comprising;
- an annular shell (C) defining an internal wall fixed in relationship to said cartridge;
- and
- an elastomeric coupling element provided in said shell and having an inner portion connected to said spool for rotation therewith;
- and
- said coupling element including outwardly spiraled fingers frictionally engaging said shell internal wall;
- said fingers so shaped that frictional contact between each finger and said shell internal wall is greater when said coupling element rotates in one direction than when rotated in an opposite direction.
