Abstract
A method for enhancing the accuracy of a sensor is provided. The method includes determining a measure of the output of the sensor, determining whether the measure falls outside of an acceptable range for the output of the sensor, and, when the measure falls outside the acceptable range, modifying the measure of the output such that the measure falls within the acceptable range for the sensor.

A method for enhancing the accuracy of a sensor, the method comprising:
- determining a measure of the output of the sensor;
- determining whether the measure falls outside of an acceptable range for the output of the sensor;
- and
- when the measure falls outside the acceptable range, modifying the measure of the output such that the measure falls within the acceptable range for the sensor.
A method for enhancing the accuracy of an accelerometer, the method comprising:
- monitoring an output of the accelerometer;
- determining a frequency measure over a selected time interval of the output of the accelerometer;
- comparing the frequency measure with a threshold substantially related to a maximum value of a normal operating range for the accelerometer;
- and
- when the frequency measure falls outside the normal operating range, replacing the output value with a value having a frequency measure within the normal operating range.
A machine readable medium having instructions stored thereon for a method for enhancing the accuracy of a sensor, the method comprising:
- determining a measure of the output of the sensor;
- determining whether the measure falls outside of an acceptable range for the output of the sensor;
- and
- when the measure falls outside the acceptable range, modifying the measure of the output such that the measure falls within the acceptable range for the sensor.
A machine readable medium having instructions stored thereon for a method for enhancing the accuracy of an accelerometer, the method comprising:
- monitoring an output of the accelerometer;
