A device for establishing an electrical connection between first and second parts, in particular vehicle parts, which can move such that the first and second parts can pivot with respect to one another about an axis, the first part (3) being provided with a current transmitter unit (1), and the second part (4) being provided with a current receiver unit (2), the current transmitter unit (1) and the current receiver unit (2) each being arranged in the region of an axis (5) such that the current receiver unit (2) and the current transmitter unit (1) come into contact with one another at least in an end position of the pivoting movement of the first and second parts (3, 4), wherein contact elements (1a, 2a) of the current transmitter unit (1) and the current receiver unit (2) are arranged and/or designed in terms of their shape such that the contact elements (1a, 2a) rub against one another before the end position of the first and second parts (3, 4) is reached.
