Abstract
A display control circuit is provided for displaying a modulated image such as a persistence image. An image display may includes the display control circuit. The control circuit adds persistence pixel data for persistence display to input pixel data within an input image frame to generate display pixel data within a display image frame which is supplied to a display. The control circuit includes a persistence pixel data generator and a persistence pixel data adder.
Claims24
A method of controlling a display on a raster scan type display, the method comprising:
- receiving input pixel data within an input image frame comprising a frame of input pixel data;
- and
- adding modulated pixel data for displaying a modulated image to said received input pixel data to generate display pixel data within a display image frame, to supply the generated display pixel data to said display, and to supply the generated display pixel data for use in generating modulated pixel data.
A method of controlling a display on a raster scan type display, the method comprising:
- receiving input pixel data within an input image frame comprising a frame of input pixel data;
- and
- adding persistence pixel data for persistence display to said received input pixel data to generate display pixel data within a display image frame, to supply the generated display pixel data to said display, and to supply the generated display pixel data for use in generating persistence pixel data.
A display control circuit for a raster scan type display, comprising:
- a modulated pixel data adder that receives input pixel data within an input image frame comprising a frame of input pixel data and adds modulated pixel data for displaying a modulated image to said received input pixel data within said input image frame to generate display pixel data within a display image frame, to supply the generated display pixel data to said display, and to supply the generated display pixel data for use in generating persistence pixel data.
A display control circuit for a raster scan type display, comprising:
- a persistence data adder that receives input pixel data within an input image frame comprising a frame of input pixel data and adds persistence pixel data for persistence display to the received input pixel data within said input image frame to generate display pixel data within a display image frame, to supply the generated display pixel data to said display, and to supply the generated display pixel data for use in generating persistence pixel data.
A display control circuit for a faster scan type display, comprising:
- means for receiving input pixel data within an input image frame comprising a frame of input pixel data and for adding modulated pixel data for displaying a modulated image to said received input pixel data within said input image frame to generate display pixel data within a display image frame, to supply the generated display pixel data to said display, and to supply the generated display pixel data for use in generating modulated pixel data.
