Abstract
A stand-alone image automated processing system and method. The method comprises the steps of: accessing at least one image in digital form; writing the at least one digital image to a photosensitive medium to generate an at least one exposed film image; mechanically transporting the at least one exposed film image to a chemical processor; and automatically chemically processing the at least one exposed film image to generate a film output image.
Claims61
An automated image processing method, comprising the steps of:
- accessing at least one image in digital form;
- writing the at least one digital image to a photosensitive medium to generate an at least one exposed film image;
- mechanically transporting the at least one exposed film image to a chemical processor;
- and
- automatically chemically processing the at least one exposed film image to generate a film output image.
An automated image processing method, comprising the steps of:
- accessing at least one image in digital form;
- writing the at least one image to a photosensitive medium to generate an at least one exposed film image;
- selecting a processing profile for the at least one exposed film image from a plurality of predetermined processing profiles;
- mechanically transporting the at least one exposed film image to a chemical processor;
- and
- automatically chemically processing the at least one exposed film image in accordance with the selected processing profile to generate a film output image.
A stand-alone image processing system, comprising:
- a film writer for writing at least one digital image to a photosensitive medium to generate an exposed film image;
- a processor adapted to automatically chemically process the exposed film image to generate a film output image comprising a film output image;
- and
- a mechanical transport system for mechanically transporting the exposed film image to the processor.
A stand-alone image processing system, comprising:
- a film writer for writing at least one digital image to a photosensitive medium to generate an exposed film image;
- a processor adapted to chemically process the exposed film image in accordance with a predetermined processing profile to generate a film output image;
- and
- a mechanical transport system for transporting the exposed film image to the processor.
A stand-alone image processing system, comprising:
- a film writer for writing at least one digital image to a photosensitive medium to generate an exposed film image;
- a film processor having a plurality of adjustable parameters for a given process for processing a family of photographic films;
- a plurality of predetermined processing profiles having different values of the adjustable parameters for different members of the film family;
- selection means for selecting a processing profile from the plurality of predetermined processing profiles for a member of the film family;
- a chemical processor adapted to chemically process the exposed film image in accordance with the selected processing profile to generate a film output image;
- and
- a mechanical transport system for transporting the exposed film image to the chemical processor.
