Abstract
A method of analyzing a computer application interruption may analyze a cause of the computer application interruption, determine whether the cause of the computer application interruption was user disruptive or non-user-disruptive, determine whether the cause of the computer application interruption was operating system related or non-operating system related and determine whether the computer application interruption caused the computer application to stop operating or operate at a degraded level of performance.
Claims20
A method of analyzing a computer application interruption comprising:
- analyzing a cause of the computer application interruption;
- determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption caused a disruption or did not cause a disruption;
- determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption was operating system related or non-operating system related;
- and
- determining whether the computer application interruption caused the computer application to stop operating or operate at a degraded level of performance.
A computer readable medium having computer executable instructions for performing a method of analyzing causes of computer application interruptions, comprising:
- computer executable instructions for determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption caused a disruption or did not cause a disruption;
- computer executable instructions for determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption was operating system related or non-operating system related;
- and
- computer executable instructions for determining whether the computer application interruption caused the computer application to stop operating or operate at a degraded level of performance.
A computing apparatus, comprising:
- a display unit that is capable of generating video images;
- an input device;
- a processing apparatus operatively coupled to said display unit and said input device, said processing apparatus comprising a processor and a memory operatively coupled to said processor,
- a network interface connected to a network and to the processing apparatus;
- said processing apparatus being programmed to analyze the cause of a computer application interruption wherein computer application interruptions comprise shutdowns and degraded level of performance of the application comprising:
- analyzing the cause of the computer application interruption;
- determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption caused a disruption or did not cause a disruption;
- determining whether the cause of the computer application interruption was operating system related or non-operating system related;
- and
- determining whether the computer application interruption caused the computer application to stop operating or operate at a degraded level of performance.
