Abstract
A behavior encouragement contest method includes conducting a contest to encourage a behavior among users of a service. The contest results in one or more winners that are provided an award.

A method of encouraging a behavior by users of a service, comprising the steps of:
- providing a service having a plurality of users;
- selecting a plurality of contest participants from said plurality of users, said contest participants exhibiting a behavior to be encouraged;
- conducting a contest engaged in by at least two of said contest participants, said contest resulting with at least one winner;
- and
- providing an award to said at least one winner.
