Abstract
The invention relates to an aircraft navigation assistance method, whereby a continuous, three-dimensional projected path is calculated on board the aircraft as a function of data relating to the route and characteristics of the aircraft.

A method of providing assistance in navigating an aircraft (99) along an itinerary defined by itinerary data (ITI), the method including calculating, on board the aircraft, a predicted trajectory (TDC) for the aircraft, as a function of itinerary data (ITI) and characteristics of the aircraft, said predicted trajectory being continuous and three dimensional, including curvilinear portions, having no angle point, and complying with the flight envelope of the aircraft, the method including calculating a predicted time/date or speed for points of the predicted trajectory.
