Abstract
A cardiac valve with a first anchor frame and a cover on the first anchor frame for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the valve.
Claims49
A cardiac valve, comprising:
- a first anchor frame having a surface defining an opening through the first anchor frame;
- two or more leaflets coupled to the first anchor frame, where the two or more leaflets repeatedly move between an open state and a closed state for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the opening of the cardiac valve;
- and
- two or more anchor members vertically extending over the surface defining the opening through the first anchor frame in a fully deployed configuration of the cardiac valve.

A system, comprising:
- a cardiac valve, wherein the cardiac valve includes:
- a first anchor frame having a surface defining an opening through the first anchor frame;
- two or more leaflets coupled to the first anchor frame, where the two or more leaflets repeatedly move between an open state and a closed state for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the opening of the cardiac valve;
- and
- two or more anchor members vertically extending over the surface defining the opening through the first anchor frame in a fully deployed configuration of the cardiac valve;
- and
- a delivery catheter including a proximal end and a distal end, the cardiac valve located between the proximal end and distal end of the delivery catheter.

A method, comprising:
- forming a first anchor frame of a cardiac valve, the first anchor frame having a surface defining an opening through the first anchor frame;
- forming two or more anchor members on the first anchor frame, wherein the two or more anchor members vertically extend over the surface defining the opening through the first anchor frame in a fully deployed configuration of the cardiac valve;
- and
- coupling two or more leaflets to the first anchor frame, where the two or more leaflets repeatedly move between an open state and a closed state for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the opening of the cardiac valve.
1 more element
A method, comprising:
- positioning at least part of a delivery catheter including a cardiac valve at a predetermined location, wherein the cardiac valve includes:
- a first anchor frame having a surface defining an opening through the first anchor frame;
- two or more leaflets coupled to the first anchor frame, where the two or more leaflets repeatedly move between an open state and a closed state for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the opening of the cardiac valve;
- and
- two or more anchor members vertically extending over the surface defining the opening through the first anchor frame in a fully deployed configuration of the cardiac valve;
- and
- deploying the cardiac valve from the delivery catheter at the predetermined location.
