Abstract
A device for use with gymnastics equipment is provided in which the device includes: at least one harness for securing around at least a portion of a torso of a gymnast; and one or more straps fixed at one end to the harness and rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment at another end.

A device for use with gymnastics equipment, the device comprising:
- at least one harness for securing around at least a portion of a torso of a gymnast;
- and
- one or more straps fixed at one end to the harness and rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment at another end.
The device of claim 15, further comprising a means for adjusting a length of the one or more connection straps.
A safety harness for use with gymnastics equipment, the safety harness comprising:
- a chest segment for securing around at least a portion of a chest of a gymnast;
- an abdominal segment for securing around an abdomen of the gymnast;
- a portion connecting the chest and abdominal segments;
- and
- two straps each fixed at one end to one of the chest segment and abdominal segment and each rotatably engaged with a portion of the gymnastics equipment at another end.
A method for preventing a gymnast from falling while practicing or performing on gymnastic equipment, the method comprising:
- securing a harness to the gymnast, and
- rotatably securing a portion of the harness to a portion of the gymnastics equipment.
